Postpartum Support International (PSI)

Postpartum Support International was founded in 1987 by Jane Honikman in Santa Barbara, California. The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum. Services include some of the following (visit the website for the more extensive list):

(PSI) Toll free help line (warm line)
The PSI Warmline is a toll-free telephone number anyone can call to get basic information, support and navigation to local resources including emergency services.

(PSI) Online Support Groups
Weekly support groups in both English and Spanish, led by trained PSI facilitators.

(PSI) Area Support Coordinators
In all 50 US states, Canada, Mexico and 40 other countries around the world. Support volunteers provide telephone and email support, information and access to informed local resources.

(PSI) Free Phone “Chat with the Experts”
First Mondays for Dads and every Wednesday for Moms, facilitated by PSI Professionals.
