WINTER THRIVE SESSIONS LAUNCHING JANUARY 10

Mental health. It wasn’t a class at school. So where can Nova Scotians go to learn about mental health and well-being? The answer is THRIVE Learning Centre for Mental Wellness and Well-Being.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division is proud to launch our winter 2023 Thrive workshops.

Courses offered throughout January, February and March include several Thrive mainstays including Mental Health Resources, Understanding Mental Health, Afternoon Reflections, Healthy Habits and Humour and Mental Health, as well as new additions, Walking for the Mind, Body and Soul, presented in collaboration with Hike Nova Scotia, and Introduction to Mental Health Accommodations.

This quarter Thrive will also feature three new workshop series.

Thrive Workshops are:

THRIVE is an innovative, safe, and welcoming learning space that provides free courses designed to support mental health, boost resilience and promote connection.

THRIVE courses are developed by subject experts and mental health professionals, working together with people who have their own experience in personal recovery.

Everyone is welcome to attend. No previous experience is required and with a variety of courses to choose from, there is one for everyone.  (Courses are updated quarterly.)
