International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
Why this particular date? Because it was as of May 17, 1990 [just 33 years ago] that homosexuality was no longer considered a mental illness by the World Health Organization.
Promoting #mentalhealth in the community means taking action for an inclusive society that cares for everyone’s well-being.
Our Making Connections page lists a number of relevant resources and services that are available in Nova Scotia and across Canada to support members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community.
