Take our Making Connections survey!

Are you the parent, caregiver of a 2SLGBTQIA+ youth? Take our short survey and help us design an informational series that will meet your needs. This survey will take approximately five minutes and is anonymous. Take the survey here. The survey will be closed on Friday July 15 2022.

Why: The strong support of parents, caregivers, and important adults in the lives of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth is one of the primary protective factors when it comes to the mental health and well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. CMHA NS is developing a free six-session informational series, to be delivered online from September 2022 to February 2023 for parents, caregivers and adults who play supportive roles in the lives of a 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.

The goal of this series is to:
1) Increase access to educational opportunities for parents and caregivers by sharing the knowledge of professionals and subject experts through the speaker series.
2) Increase opportunities for connections across Nova Scotia by focusing on connecting caregivers in rural areas with one another to allow sharing of experiences and support.

Please feel free to share with your network of parents and caregivers of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, particularly those in rural Nova Scotia. Youth who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ are also welcome and encouraged to fill out the survey if they are interested.
