WORKSHOP SERIES: Creative Strengths for Resilience

Did you know, having a creative hobby like painting, for example, can improve your ability to cope with challenges?  This ability is known as resilience. Resilience is a skill that you can build on and improve –  it just takes practice.

And one of the best ways to practice is by developing your creative skillset.

Studies have shown that creativity encourages positive emotions that can unlock our inner resources for dealing with stress and uncertainty. Once relaxed, we are usually able to see more clearly and perhaps, find ideas or solutions to challenges.

Over the course of this 4-part series, facilitators Gerard and Glenn will help participants recognize their own creative strength and use that strength to address those events in life that create stress and adversity.

This approach helps build resilience and supports overall mental health.

In each component creative process exercises and reflections are used.
