Claire Lunn | Trustee

As Trustee for CMHA-NS, Claire’s role is to support those who are experiencing or at risk of housing insecurity or homelessness in Kings County. Pairing her diploma in Human Services from Thompson Rivers University and a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development from Acadia University, Claire brings a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience to her role.

For five years, Claire has been navigating the complexities of the human services sector, providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to diverse populations. Claire has personal lived experience navigating and utilizing the mental health system, which has given her a deep understanding of the systemic barriers that individuals often face.

Claire is passionate about social justice, advocacy, housing-first, and harm reduction approaches. She firmly believes in the power of community and peer support. Claire’s goal is to support individuals authentically, wholeheartedly, and compassionately. Known for her reliability, empathy, and proactive problem-solving approach, her mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
