You are not alone.

The emotional toll of supporting someone with a mental illness or substance use disorder can be significant, and having a peer support group can provide much-needed connection and understanding.

Caregiver Connections is a weekly, virtual peer support group that provides caregivers with a safe and friendly place to connect with others, feel heard and hear from others who understand.

Discussion topics include self-care, boundaries, conflict resolution, communication styles, active listening, the WIN formula, grief, the mental health continuum, and values.

Who Should Attend: Caregiver Connections is appropriate for parents, grandparents, siblings, partners, and children of Nova Scotians living with a mental illness or substance use disorder. *Group members must reside in Nova Scotia and be over the age of 16.

When: This group meets every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
