CMHA NS celebrates National Volunteer Week April 24 -20

From coast to coast to coast in formal and informal settings, volunteers create caring, collaborative, and compassionate communities. That’s why CMHA NS Division joins organizations across the country between April 24 and 30 in celebrating National Volunteer Week. The National Volunteer Week theme for 2022, Volunteering Is Empathy In Action, affirms the strong connection between volunteerism and empathy. This profoundly human connection is at the heart of healthier individuals and stronger communities.

In celebration the contributions of those who give back; their actions, their understanding, and their genuine concern for the world around them, CMHA NS is marking National Volunteer Week 2022 by highlighting our incredible Mental Health Champions. These are the individuals who fundraise in support of CMHA NS, donate a portion of the proceeds from a community fundraiser, or host third party events (this means we’re not the organizers) where CMHA NS is the recipient of proceeds. We are immensely grateful for their dedication in helping us work towards good mental health for all.
