THRIVE Workshops: Strengthen Your Mental Health This February

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Nova Scotia Division is excited to introduce a new series of THRIVE workshops this February, designed to help you build practical skills for better mental health.
Whether you’re interested in setting healthier goals, learning how to practice gratitude, or better understanding compassion fatigue, these workshops offer a range of tools and strategies to support your mental well-being.
What is THRIVE?
THRIVE is a free virtual learning centre that helps Nova Scotians build skills to promote and support their mental health. It’s accessible, inclusive, and designed with you in mind.

Trauma-Informed Care | February 6 | 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Trauma-informed care isn’t just about helping others—it’s about learning how we can support healing within ourselves and the environments we work, live, and connect in. This session will provide you with actionable strategies to foster a more compassionate, informed, and responsive approach to supporting mental health and well-being.
Journaling for Mental Health | February 18 | 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or simply want a healthier way to process your thoughts, this session will introduce you to the many mental health benefits of journaling and guide you through practical exercises to integrate journaling into your life.
The Phoenix Within: Finding Courage & Confidence | February 21 | 12:00 pm. – 1:00 p.m.
This workshop invites you to reconnect with your inner strength, embrace your value, and build lasting self-esteem. Whether you’re starting fresh, rebuilding after setbacks, or simply looking to strengthen your sense of self, this is your space to rise, grow, and own your story.
Declutter Your Life | February 26 } 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by clutter—whether it’s piles of papers, an overstuffed inbox, or the constant mental load that keeps you on edge? It’s time to clear the clutter and regain control! Join us for a practical session designed to help you declutter your environment, reduce stress, and restore peace of mind. Discover simple strategies to tackle physical and mental clutter, so you can focus on what truly matters.
