Kathy Murphy | Executive Director [Interim]

With an MBA in organizational development, Kathy Murphy has spent her career successfully leading and transforming a variety of organizations. She is certified in Adult Learning and Development from the University of Toronto OISE and has completed the Certified Management Consultants – Canada designation (CMC-Canada). She has worked primarily in the non-profit sector, reporting to boards of directors, and successfully increasing and improving performance for the organizations she has led.

Most recently Kathy served as Executive Director of Lunenburg Academy Foundation,  the United Way Hastings and Prince Edward and has held positions as CEO of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) in Halifax, and Executive Director of the Dalhousie Medical Alumni Association (DMAA).  Kathy has recently completed Mentorship Fundamentals, a comprehensive Strategic Mentor Training Program among other professional accreditations.  

Kathy lives with her husband in the north end Halifax Hydrostone District, and enjoys yoga, walking, cooking and nature.
