Get fit, have fun, and raise funds for mental health with the Push-Up Challenge
Nov 18, 2024
From February 11th to February 28th, the Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division (CMHA NS) is encouraging Nova Scotians to take part in the Push-Up Challenge.
The Push-Up Challenge is a unique mental health and fitness event that encourages participants to complete 2,000 push-ups in 18 days while raising critical funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
The number 2,000 represents the 2,000 lives lost to suicide globally each day. Your participation can help raise awareness, offer hope, and provide essential resources to those in need.
Here’s how you can get involved:
Register: Visit Our Page to sign up. ** You don’t have to do push-ups to participate! Choose an alternative exercise instead, including air squats, resistance band pulls, air boxing, triceps dips, or sit-ups. For more ideas, check out the alternative exercise guide.
- Join as an individual and tackle the challenge solo.
- Find an existing team and take part with your crew.
- Invite your colleagues to join as a team. Download Push for Better in Your Workplace Guide.
Not interested in participating but still want to help? You can donate and encourage others to do the same by sharing this link.
Fundraise: Fundraise for CMHA Nova Scotia Division as you push. Every dollar you raise will help CMHA Nova Scotia Division support programs that help Nova Scotians maintain good mental health and thrive.
Share & Spread the Word: Once you’ve signed up, don’t forget to share your fundraising page and recruit others to join! We can make this event even bigger by getting our friends, family, and other teams involved. Download and share our flyer.
4. Participate: From February 11–28, we’ll provide daily push-up targets and mental health facts through a free app, social media, and our website. Track your progress, connect with your team, and stay motivated as we push toward our goal.
