Striving for a healthy balance between the demands on your life in and out of the workplace means setting clear boundaries, and that usually requires assertive behavior. However, some people find it difficult to set those boundaries — especially in the workplace. They may find it hard to ask for what they want, or they may never have learned how to express their preferences, needs, opinions and feelings tactfully or effectively. Learning how to be assertive and establish boundaries in all areas of your life is key to establishing a healthy balance and overall wellness. Our At-Work team can help!
Register for our Setting Healthy Boundaries workshop today. Learn tips to practice assertive communication skills in lots of different situations and teach skills that will help you become more comfortable to set boundaries and achieve balance.

Where: This workshop will be held virtually via Zoom.
Eligibility: This workshop is open to adults (16+).

About At-Work: Mental illness doesn’t need to be an obstacle to employment. This program is available to anyone in need of work with mental health or addictions issue living in Nova Scotia (no diagnosis required). CMHA’s At-Work team provides support services to people living with mental illness that are unemployed or under-employed, by supporting them to obtain and maintain meaningful employment.
