To mark NSWM in Nova Scotia CMHA NS Division is proud to partner with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers on a number of events throughout the month of March, including their Ethics Cafe on MAiD and Mental Health on March 15 and their third annual Advocacy Day mini-conference on March 25.

This series of lunch and learn sessions offers social workers an opportunity to reflect upon the complex ethical issues that may be involved in determining the best course of action for themselves to follow.
This session will explore ethical concerns that must be considered regarding the projected expansion of medical assistance in dying criteria in Canada.

Advocacy Day creates opportunities for social workers, social work students and social work educators to join together with clients and community organizations in advocating for change in Nova Scotia.
Come and listen to social justice advocates from social work and beyond, as well as those with first voice experiences, as we come together to share our hopes, concerns, ideas and recommendations with the decision-makers who have the power to reconfigure our health care system. Let’s learn together, and then transform our learning into collective action.
This mini-conference is completely free to attend, and open to the public.
