ASIST offered in Yarmouth November 27 and 28

Talking about suicide can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Equip yourself with the skills to support those in need through Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Join us for this transformative two-day workshop designed for anyone over 18 who wants to learn vital suicide first aid intervention skills.

ASIST is trusted by professionals, endorsed by the World Health Organization, and has been training individuals for 40 years!

Who should take ASIST?

Participants can include but not limited to: parents and caregivers; natural helpers and advisors; educators and ministers; health practitioners; justice, law enforcers, emergency workers, and community volunteers.

ASIST teaches participants to:

** PLEASE NOTE: ASIST is not suitable for those who have recently been seriously affected by suicide.**
