Alison Coldwell |Coordinated Access Manager
Alison grew up in Port Williams Nova Scotia and now calls Wolfville her home. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s University in 2019 and has completed coursework from Carleton University and Acadia University in Human Rights, Women and Gender Studies and Psychology. Alison is a mother to one (Aiden) and enjoys reading, nature walks, the ocean and discovering new recipes during her free time.
Committed to continuous learning, Alison has engaged in volunteerism with many organizations including the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, Autism Nova Scotia’s Camp Au-some, Acadia University’s Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Committee, and the Atlantic Provinces Linguistics Association. She was one of three coordinators of the 2022 Ride for Refuge in Kentville, holding the positions of volunteer lead and sponsorship lead.
Previous to working with Project H.O.P.E., Alison has worked in youth care and daycare settings where she discovered a passion for youth advocacy and case management. As the Annapolis Valley Coordinated Access Manager, Alison hopes to build an equitable and reliable system to help individuals and families experiencing precarious housing or homelessness to navigate a complex system by coordinating services with community entities.
