Mental Health Week
From May 5 – 11 the Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division recognizes Mental Health Week, an annual awareness and advocacy campaign that focuses on mental health.
This years’ theme is Unmasking Mental Health.
About this theme: Many people living with mental health challenges feel pressured to hide behind a “mask” to avoid judgment. But the more they conceal their struggles, the more isolated they become. We all have a role in building a society where everyone feels accepted and empowered to be their authentic selves. By fostering understanding, acceptance, and safe spaces, we can help each other remove these masks and experience true connection.
This Mental Health Week, let’s break the stigma. Start conversations, show support, and create safe spaces where everyone feels seen and heard.
