Sackville teen creates t-shirt business to support mental health

In photo: You Matter NS creator, Kayla Zwicker.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Kayla Zwicker for supporting mental health with her donation of $766.00 — the proceeds of her business You Matter NS Apparel, a line of t-shirts, crew necks and hoodies featuring the words ‘You Matter.’

She created You Matter NS as a project for entrepreneurship class and chose to use her project and her profits to promote and support mental health because it’s top of mind for many of her classmates.

She noted that the project was a lot of work, but well worth it. In addition to our gratitude, Zwicker also received an A on her assignment.

When asked if she plans to continue selling You Matter NS apparel now that the project is over, Zwicker says she will consider re-opening, but is currently taking a break so she can focus on school this fall.

Zwicker heads to St. Mary’s University in the fall.

Thanks to generous supporters like Kayla Zwicker more Nova Scotians can access programs and support services that help people be well and stay well.
