Suicide Prevention Research
Research
There is still a lot to be learned about suicide and how effective the interventions that in place. Suicide prevention research evidence often only considers one of the known risks such as childhood trauma or a particular mental illness. However, just because a person may be at risk does not mean they will think about suicide. It is likely that a combination of risk factors impacts the likelihood that a person would consider suicide. Understanding the different risk factors can help us have a better idea of how we can help those at risk and who to direct our attention to. Below are a number of studies to help us better understand suicide at prevention level, intervention level, and the postvention level.
