Communities Addressing Suicide Together
Communities Addressing Suicide Together (C.A.S.T.) is an initiative of the Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division that aims to build and strengthen community capacity to address suicide through education, training, awareness and resource sharing
This work is informed by the World Health Organization’s Preventing Suicide: A Global Imperative report which reinforces the value of a public health approach to suicide prevention and aligns with the First Nations Mental Wellness Continuum Framework .
With support from the Department of Health and Wellness, our work each year focuses on building hope and resilience, promoting mental health and well-being, and improving access to resources and information.
