What to do if Someone is in Crisis

An important part of helping someone in crisis is the ability to recognize the risk factors and warning signs for suicide. For more information, please see Risk Factors & Warning Signs.

If someone has disclosed that they are having thoughts of suicide, they should be connected to a resource as soon as possible in order to keep them safe. Brainstorm with the person about various supports available and where to access help.
