CMHA NS launches Community Spotlight program

This fall, the Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division [CMHA NS] is thrilled to launch our Community Spotlight program. he CMHA NS Community Spotlight program is a free program designed to promote the important work of organizations organizations within Nova Scotia that support mental health and well-being with a focus on those that support rural, 2SLGBTQIA+, Newcomer and/or BIPOC mental health by highlighting them on our digital platforms and beyond to increase awareness of these organizations and help more Nova Scotians get the help they need.

The program was created by CMHA NS staff to promote and highlight the work of organizations within Nova Scotia that support mental health and well-being with a focus on those that support rural, 2SLGBTQIA+, Newcomer and/or BIPOC mental health.

Our mission is to ensure Nova Scotians experience good mental health and well-being,” says CMHA NS Education Coordinator, Lindsay Miller.

“We came up with this program as a way to share the spotlight, so to speak. “”We recognize that our mission is broad, and that we cannot and will not achieve it alone so our hope with Spotlight is that we can better meet the mental health needs of all Nova Scotians by connecting with partner organizations that are reflective and supportive of Nova Scotians’ diverse experiences, identities and histories, and contribute to the overall well-being of our province.”

Do you know of an organization that should be in the spotlight?
