CMHA Nova Scotia celebrates National Volunteer Week 2021

The power of people working together can bring about monumental changes. That’s why CMHA Nova Scotia Division joins organizations across the country this week in celebrating National Volunteer Week.

The theme this year, The Value of One, The Power of Many, reflects on the acts of kindness by millions of individuals and the magic that happens when we work together towards a common purpose. This past year, we have seen firsthand how powerful volunteering can be, with people supporting family, neighbours and strangers in their community.

Volunteers play a crucial role at CMHA. Without the dedication of volunteers, many programs offered by our branches would not be possible. As an added benefit, research shows that doing things for others strengthens our own mental health.

From all of us at CMHA Nova Scotia Division, thank you to the amazing volunteers we work with every day. We truly appreciate your dedication in helping us work towards good mental health for all.
