CMHA Halifax-Dartmouth begins phased return to regular programming

Canadian Mental Health Association, Halifax-Dartmouth Branch staff have resumed working at the branch’s Gottingen Street office as the first step of a phased approach to returning to regular, in-person services and programming.

While staff returned to the office on July 6, all in-person programming will continue to be held off-site for the remainder of the summer. This will be reassessed moving into the fall.

Additionally, the facility is limiting the number of people allowed to enter the space, per physical distancing guidelines.

The branch’s storefront will also not be selling art or passing out artwork until further notice. However, with the office open, mosaic artists can drop off their artwork Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Outreach will continue on a reduced scale and staff can meet with individuals one-on-one within the parameters of public health guidelines. The re-opening of in-person social programming, as well as drives provided by staff/volunteers, will depend on further updates to distancing measures from the department of health and wellness.
