The Government of Canada has recently designated September 30 as National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As a result, we are adopting this day as a statutory holiday in support of the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
CMHA Nova Scotia Division will use this day to reflect, listen and acknowledge the hardships Indigenous people have faced for many years, and to consider what each of us can do as individuals to advance Reconciliation and recommit to understanding the truth of our shared history, and to accept and learn from it.
